Interim Chief Operating/Nursing Officer

Jeff Stout is an accomplished executive healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience in the acute care setting.  As interim Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at Martin Luther King, Jr Community Hospital (MLKCH), he is a hands-on leader and mentor committed to maintaining MLKCH’s high standards of care while helping the team achieve superior outcomes for its patients, families, and the community we serve.

Prior to joining MLKCH, he has served as the Chief Operating Officer at St. Francis Medical Center and Chief Nursing Officer of an 808 bed Academic Medical Center in Reno, NV.  Additionally, he has worked at an interim executive for hospitals across the country.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University and is Master of Science in Nursing from Queens University.

Jeff enjoys many outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, and mountain biking.

Jeff is married to his best friend Amy.  They are the proud parents of one daughter Shelby.
